 Final Blog Post

I think that my relationship with technology is fairly healthy because I can balance it out. Many people are always on their phones and always doing something and they can't seem to get off of their phones. I have good control when it comes to when is a good time to check my phone and a bad time to check my phone. I do feel like I spend a little too much time on my phone than I would like but it's mainly to check on things and make sure that I'm not missing any assignments and return calls and texts. I believe that technology will and does make people smarter the fact that the news is all at your fingertips you can research topics online with your phone and can check with other websites if you're confused about something. I know for me when I'm working on an engine and I'm confused I will go on YouTube and look it up and see if anyone has done the task that I'm working on. If they have I follow their steps on what to do and it gives a good visual representation of what I need to do or look for while I am working on it. It also helps to get an understanding of different parts in the engine and know where they are located and how to take certain parts off and on. 

I feel as if my friends and family are about the same as me with technology we all enjoy using it and like to get information very quickly on things we are unsure of. I feel like we all manage it the perfect way by not overusing it unless there is an important call or text that we need to respond to we all check our phones very often and it's important to do this because you never know who could be texting or calling you and you need to respond promptly.

My online footprint is little to none. When I look up my name I can find my link in and Facebook account and that is all that will pull up. This could be a good thing or a bad thing from a few different standpoints if you want to be under the radar and not be everywhere it's good to keep social media on the low not post much and have a private account. However when going into a job they want to see what you post and what you do in your free time to gain background information about yourself. There are many different people when you look up my name that have the same name as me. I feel that if my LinkedIn pulled up as the first one it would be a lot more professional rather than being the 4th or 5th one to pull up. Many jobs like to take a look back and see what you have done in the past and what you have posted to Linked In to see if your requirements have met what they want in the job position they are looking to fill.

Whistle-Blowers

I found that Whistle-Blowers really caught my attention because of how much they change the news and how they work. I found it very interesting that there are whistle-blowers who are located in parts of the world that get information from the USA and they stay in different countries so that they can’t be thrown in jail for their actions. There are many whistle-blowers around the world and they all do the same thing and that's spreading information to the public or media before a figure can even have the time to speak about it. This could mean that they are leaking information to the public and the public will become upset about what is happening its happing and want responses.

 AI Taking Over

AI has been on a constant rise and has had a significant impact on the normal public. In ways, it can make jobs quicker and lower the cost of certain goods. AI has put many Americans out of jobs and it's really starting to hurt America and other countries. There are certain jobs that AI cannot do but it's important to know that every day AI is getting smarter and smarter making them do tasks that humans can't even do. Having AI as a business owner would make it a lot cheaper so you don’t have to pay employees and can have AI function 24/7 without a break making items come out faster and ship faster than a traditional human. AI has put the whole world a step forward in everything that is done today. AI has really changed the fact that Customer Service can be open 24/7 by programming them to know the information to get commonly asked questions answered as quickly as possible making it better for the customer and the workers.

Now there are Deep Fakes these are AI-generated videos that take real people and can make it look like they say something that they never did. This is very important to know because certain people can take this and post it and have it go viral and the viewer has no idea that it is fake and believed and it would hurt the reputation of certain individuals. This idea of deep fakes has a good side and a very bad side as stated it can hurt reputation if used in a bad way, however, it can really be good for other uses. Many jobs will use this to put a simulation into a job scenario and it is used most of the time in training for medical use to put trainees through a difficult situation and act it out rather than having to deal with it in real-time and be unsure how to treat something. Overall I believe that this could be a very good thing for the fact that many people can get in-field training before having to experience it in real-time. I believe this makes me feel a lot more safe because there can be training to help a very difficult situation that I could be in or someone else. I think that using deep fakes can be good but once the public gets a hold of it can turn into something that can't really be changed. I think that if we have strict restrictions on deep fakes the government could make it so that it can be beneficial to the rest of the public. And help with many other jobs that can use something that will improve the function of their workers or customer service by giving an almost face-to-face interaction about how to resolve an issue.

 Deep Fakes

Deep Fakes have been an issue that has not been for the better as time has gone on. Deep fakes are the act of taking an AI generation of a person and making them move in a video saying something. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. Many games and movies will use this to show an action that someone is doing or stunts to make sure that no one gets hurt. This form of AI generation is used widely for training videos to show and teach people how to handle certain situations and it really does help out how they will have to handle a situation just like that but in real life. I do believe this makes a great representation of what a deep fake is. Unfortunately, now people will take this technology and use it to hurt someone or make someone look bad. Some people will now take this and change it to a political candidate and make them say something that looks real and sounds real with the AI-generated mouth movements and sound. How this can be done to hurt someone to spread misinformation can now be a charge and sent to jail. 

I think that this could be a good way to send messages out to the public by using it to keep people safe from large crowds and make it seamless to mess up during a speech or to say something differently than what you intended. I think that the public should not be able to have access to things like this just fact that you can really change a person's life if you do something like this and make them say something there are ways to check to see if it is real or not but most of the time the average news reader isn't going to bat an eye to think its real or fake. 

Throughout this skillful AI technology, it's important to always remember that AI can alter many different things and can almost do just as good of work as a human. This can be going in the right direction if they can narrow down the users to make sure that everyone using it is using it in the right way and form. It's very easy to miss a product like this and if the government decides to use it I could see things go very badly for them because of the fact that they can manipulate many things. As far as jobs go I feel this is a very great idea to put the new hires in a tricky situation and have the generation responsible to how they react.

 Ted Talks

Many things that you post or take a picture of will follow you. There is no way to erase it once it's made or posted. Basically, like a tattoo that is never going to disappear, once you post a picture you can do a face track to figure out who they are and find many different information on them. These imprints on social media will last longer than you will live and can be retrieved. Nowadays many cameras can read plate numbers to check many different background checks on several people. This will help do a data check to see where certain Americans are going. There was one person who tracked him and his family to figure out what his daily life. And it could very well be the same thing happening to me or you. They are doing this in case something is happening and might help solve a crime.

Antiwar articles  

    After taking a look at many of these sites it is very overwhelming with different articles to read about. There are many videos to watch as well. On AntiWar there are daily videos he will post to talk about different wars and different topics within the subject. While navigating this website there is a lot of information and different things to view while reading this article. I found that the information on this website seems to be very one-sided but that can be expected mainly because of the name of the website.  This website has a very good amount of information and seems to be very factual. They have a section for different viewpoints for different perspectives on the certain topic at hand and I really like that so you can get a different side to a story. This website has had many updates though.

 After all the presentations I found that the emoji invention was pretty cool not only the fact that it started out being typed out with letters but that there was a lot of time in effort that went into this coding. This presentation gave me a lot of knowledge about how they where created and why there are so many people that find them important. I also learned that they came out a lot longer of a time ago than I would have expected.
